Learn everything about HIFU from an Experienced Therapist of 30 years:
HIFU stands for “Hig h Intensity Focused Ultrasound”. Ultrasound has been used in the medical industry for decades, and has more recently been developed to specifically stimulate our body’s natural healing and regenerative response, specifically skin tightening and lifting.
The majority of people find HIFU very comfortable and often even fall asleep with the last level. Machines vary a lot and and we choose ours specifically because it uses CFU a more focused machine that is less painful!
Most people are a little red after treatment, that can last a day or 2 max. Very occasionally clients get a rash the day after treatment. This can last a few days, so we recommend if you have an event coming up to do at least a week prior.
We advise that clients wait 4 weeks after injectables or filler before having treatment to give the injectables time to settle into the area worked on. There is no proof that FACE HIFU can melt filler or Tox. Please advise us if you have filler in an area.
Honestly its best practice to have filler and botox after your HIFU results. Wait to see the lift. smoothing and fullness you get ,
Then proceed with having filler if you want stronger results.
WE ARE fully educated and dedicated on timelines for best outcomes for clients. Strengthening your skin and muscle will hold injectables for longer and result in far superior results.
HIFU treatments work by applying high-energy ultrasound energy underneath the skin. The ultrasound works on deeper levels of skin and collagen, without harming tissue or the outer skin.
Ultrasound energy is directly transferred into multiple layers of the skin to trigger collagen renewal for a tighter, younger complexion. There is little to no downtime and you can return to your normal daily routine after treatment.
Temporary numbness and redness may be experienced immediately following tightening and lifting treatments.
Treatments usually take between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the area of the body and skin concern being treated.
There is no downtime, you can return to your normal daily routine after treatment. Temporary numbness and redness may be experienced immediately following a treatment which are mild and temporary in nature. Occasionally Clients get a histamine reaction rash
You will see a noticeable change in the treated area immediately after treatment and or the following 2 weeks. This will continue to improve in the coming 3-6 months as your body produces collagen and elastin in the treated area.
Almost anyone who wishes to tighten and lift the skin on their face, neck and body can consider this treatment. Patients in their 30’s can use this treatment to stimulate collagen production and delay the ageing process.
Patients in their 40’s and 50’s can benefit from tightening and lifting with this treatment. It is also suitable for those aged 60+ provided the degree of laxity is not too great, in addition ideal for those who have had facelift surgery in the past and wish to prolong the results.

As is a quality machine - they range in price form $2-$100K and there is a big difference with machines!
Does the therapist understand facial anatomy and the muscles we are treating?
Its important to ask what levels the salon uses. Ie 1.5mm . 3mm. 4.5mm (and similar) are the most common used on the face.
Some clinics offer a
GLOW setting and only use the 1.5mm level. This is not going to give lift like the deep settings and the salon will have you coming back time and time again, costing you more!
